Out with Vacation...In with School

Well, it has been such an amazing summer. I have met so many wonderful people. I have had such a fantastic time. I have had Pampered Chef parties, I have even traveled with Mike to oh wait you will never guess.....we went to Jackson Hole. I know, so out of the ordinary for us. Actually it was a great trip. He was able to relax and totally enjoy himself. You would think a place like Jackson would never change, however Bubba's moved across the street. Big change for us, we thought something had happened to them.
I was able to go to Denver for Fall Launch to see all the new products that are coming out in September. So fun to be with my Pampered Chef team members. Learned lots, ate lots, played lots. My only sad part was I wasn't able to see my family while I was there.
So this week school starts. I have said all summer that I have 90 days until school starts, because everyone always rushes through the summer saying that it is over and we have to go back. I have had 90 fantastic days BUT, I miss my kids. I am so very excited to go and see them andplay oh I mean work. I was asked today by some good friends if I was ready to be done at the school. I just wanted to cry at the thought.
I know some people have a hard time with the junior high age, but I love them. It is the hardest age for kids. They come in as babies and walk out as almost adults. What a transition period in their lives and I am so blessed to be apart of it.
The hardest part of my job is letting them go. This last year was very hard. I know the kids are going to be so fantastic in high school, but I do miss them so much. I love watching them grow up and the graduating class from this last year are now on there way to college and then also this summer, we had so many getting married.
I guess I could look at some of the things in my life and say "Why Me?", but then I look at my life and say "Why Me?" I am so blessed. I have 2 forms of employment that I enjoy and look forward to every day. I have such a wonderful group of friends that I don't know if I deserve, but I love dearly. I have an amazing family that supports me through it all. I love them so much.
